WILD SKIES ART GALLERY was founded in 2014, officially named in 2020, by Alexis Marie Chute and Aaron Chute. Their mandate is to exhibit, promote, and celebrate outstanding artwork—by both emerging and established artists—and to nourish the creative spirit in all people. The gallery name pays homage to the aurora borealis in the night sky of Alberta where the gallery is located.

Alexis & Aaron have mounted exhibits of contemporary photography, still life artwork, conceptual clothing, fashion photography, landscape paintings, sculpture, illustration, and Indigenous art. They have welcomed hundreds through opening parties, artist and curator talks, award ceremonies, minister of culture and government visits, musical performances, and portfolio reviews.

WILD SKIES ART GALLERY reaches art lovers in their local Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (and area) through in-person exhibitions and programming—as well as people and communities around the world through virtual presentations. Wild Skies Art Gallery is a creative hub, a place to find inspiration, encouragement, and a friendly community.

The gallery welcomes art submissions from international artists working in all creative mediums. Please see the gallery’s call for submissions page for current and upcoming entry details.

WILD SKIES ART GALLERY is located in the bright windowed corridor of the stylish and welcoming Renaissance Hotel at the bustling Edmonton International Airport.

At WILD SKIES, we acknowledge that our gallery is located on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and travelling route to the Cree, Saulteaux, Blackfoot, Métis, Dene and Nakota Sioux. We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries.
